Lasagna Collage

In honor of National Lasagna Day we made a tissue paper collage to look like Lasagna!

Lasagna Collage

Materials

-red construction paper

-white and yellow tissue paper

-scissors

-glue

Directions

1. Cut white tissue paper the length of the construction paper into lasagna noddle shapes (4 noodles x 2 inches wide).  Glue the noodles side by side (overlapping slightly).

2. Rip up yellow tissue (cheese) and glue all over on top of  “noodles”.

Looks like you have a big pan of Lasagna!

Today is Bert’s Birthday so we made him out of construction paper!

-black, yellow, white, red, orange, and pink construction paper

-scissors

-glue stick

Directions

1. Use the above picture as a model to cut out the appropriate shapes in each color and glue together.

2. Cut black fringe out of construction paper and attach at the top of his head.

Ice Cream Parlour Sign

What is an ice cream week without a sign for your very own ice cream parlour!

Ice Cream Parlour Sign

Materials

-construction paper

-ice cream coloring page (or draw your own pictures)

-crayons

-scissors

-glue

-permanent marker

Directions

1. Color ice cream picture, cut out, and glue on construction paper.

2. Write ____________’s Ice Cream Parlour somewhere on to the sign.

3. Invite everyone to come to your very own ice cream shop!

Tissue Paper Treat

Tissue Paper Treat

Materials

-2 sheets white tissue paper

-1 sheet red tissue paper

-toilet paper tube

-tape

-glue stick

-scissors

Directions

1. Cut toilet paper tube open lengthwise.  Roll up into cone shape and secure with tape.

2. Ball up white tissue paper to create an ice cream ball.  Secure loose tissue end at bottom of ball with tape or glue.

3. Glue around the inside of the cone and smash in the ice cream ball.

4. Rip off some red tissue to create a little ball (cherry) and glue on to the top of the ice cream cone.

Rainbow Sherbet Cone

In honor of National Ice Cream Month we will have a weeks worth of sweet crafts!

Rainbow Sherbet Cone

Materials

-white, brown, and 1 self-selected color or construction paper

-glue stick

-scissors

Directions

1. Cut out an elongated triangle shape from brown construction paper.

2. Cut out an ice cream scoop shape from white construction paper.

3. Use assorted colors of crayons to color the ice cream scoop shape. 

4. Glue cone and ice cream scoop shapes on to your remaining sheet on construction paper.

*You could embellish your cone by drawing a waffle pattern with brown crayon or by writing an ice cream themed poem/thought on the paper above the cone, etc.
