Came up with a simple art activity today to practice shapes but I realized after pretty much doing the craft myself that this craft would be best to do with children old enough to understand how to lay the yarn onto the glue instead of trying to smear the glue all over the paper! LOL.
Circle Yarn Art
by: J. Davis
-1 piece of construction paper
-school glue (liquid)
1. Lay construction paper on table and use glue to draw circles (or any other shapes desired).
2. String yarn on top of first glue shape and cut end of yarn when all glue is covered. Repeat with other shapes until paper is covered.
Notes: Younger children could participate by being able to manipulate pieces of yarn and placing them onto contact paper attached to table.
